Karlštejn

Truly one of the most beautiful castles in the Czech Republic!
Located approximately one hour from Prague makes it quite good accessible for the visitors of the Czech capital.
Built back in the 14th century by Charles IV., Holy Roman Emperor and king of Bohemia. Originally used for safekeeping of the Bohemian Crown Jewels.
Very recommended is visit of the tower! From the top you can see the lovely village under as well as large forests surrounded around the castle.
